It seems my beta version of Windows 7 is not genuine.  Next Time I’ll just torrent an .iso from the internet instead of getting it from TechNet.  Doh!

Actually, it seems I hit the bug that affects all beta builds.  I accidentally set my clock forward a year (don’t ask), which is after this beta expires.  An honest mistake on my part, but the question is how the hell do I prove it’s now genuine?

At the moment there is no Genuine Advantage application for Windows 7, so if this starts causing me grief I might have to reinstall Windows.  Hopefully I can just change the product key.  We shall see.
