About Me

For those who don't know me, my name is Steve Syfuhs. I am a Software Architect
and Developer. I live in Canada. I develop in C#, and prefer ASP.NET. Visual Studio
is my mantra. In my spare time (what little I have) I study Sound Engineering, and
like to mix concerts, with a personal taste for rock. When I'm not developing, or
mixing, I try to find time to play the drums, again with a personal taste for rock.
I am a freelance consultant, with specialties in developing line of business software
for Small to Medium Sized Businesses, as well as Enterprises. My main area of expertise
is SQL Server, and tend to gravitate towards the data layer. I have also been known
to design and architect Networks, while keeping in mind performance and high availability.
From time to time, I even do monitoring and mangement of networks too.
A lot of people tend to comment on my age. Some think I'm older than I really am.
For the sake of full disclosure (and so I can write a neat web control), at
10:42 PM I am
21 Years, 131 Days, and 26 Seconds old.
About This Blog
I like to make random notes here and there, and they usually get lost amongst the
clutter. Seeing as the information in the notes is usually fairly useful, I figured
I might as well post them to the world for all to see. I doubt there will be any
structure to what I write, but the topics will include things like:
- Software Development
- .NET Stuff
- SQL Server
- Network hardware
- Cool pieces of software
- Sound Engineering
- And anything else that fits my fancy at the time of writing
With that being said,
you've been warned.
Cheers,
- Steve
